Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The routine tasks and responsibilities are as given below, though these may be adjusted from time to time on instruction from the Line Manager.

1. M&A and investment analysis
Build integrated financial models for target businesses and acquisition opportunities, ensuring models are constructed in a way that enables flexibility, scenario planning and clarity over inputs etc. to ensure that output is understood across the business and that approach is dynamic and collaborative.
Work with company business unit planning teams to enable consolidation of these models into the wider business plans.
Perform financial due diligence on target entities and, as required, project manage broader due diligence work streams.
Assist with the continued development of investment analysis metrics and approach to pricing and structuring acquisitions.
Assist in developing the approach for tracking returns on key investments / acquisitions including resulting synergies.
Financial planning and analysis of strategic / commercial initiatives identified through business planning process.
Perform financial and strategic deep dives into current business performance and providing analysis to assist with business restructure/investment decisions.

2. Financing
Assist with formalising and managing intra-group financing arrangements.
Provide support with data gathering and analysis for debt or equity financing transactions.

3. Reporting
Work with the company busniess unit teams to develop a formal Board reporting framework.
Prepare executive presentations (both internal and external).
Analyse and report BU sales performance and pipeline to provide oversight of company sales activity.
4. Other
Adhoc assistance to Group CFO.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES & SKILLS:

Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with experience of building and maintaining financial models
Modelling experience in an investment bank or similar professional environment
M&A transaction and financial due diligence experience
Accounting / IFRS knowledge
Strong presentation and report-writing skills with proven ability to translate analytical findings into a presentational format
Excellent communication skills with ability to deal confidently and effectively with senior management
Strong inter-personal skills and proven ability to earn trust in a challenging environment
Strong initiative and ability to think on one's feet
Determination and willingness to succeed

KEY COMPETENCIES:

Degree level qualification
Relevant accounting / investment qualification (ACA, CIMA, CFA or similar).
Minimum 5 years in investment analysis and / or financial analysis and reporting environment
Experience in Middle East preferable but not essential
