Corporate QA/QC Manager

Job description / Role

My client a leading western contractor operating in Abu Dhabi are looking for a corporate QA/QC Manager with a civils background.

Leading a team of 1-2 office based QA/QC engineers and lead and supervise all site based QA/QC staff

Coordinate together with the management and the project management the staff requirements for projects in regards to QA/QC staffing

Support during expression of interest, pq and tender preparation for all matters related to QA/QC

Implement and set up company QA/QC systems at the beginning of a project together with the Project Management Team

Support, review, approve, issue and control specific Project Quality Management Planes

Manage submission of specific Project Quality Management Plan documents to Engineer / Client and represent on high level the company on QA/QC matters towards the Engineer / Client

Manage the set up of site testing laboratory and team of QC Engineers and Inspectors as required

Collect, review and evaluate QA/QC procedures provided by subcontractors together with the site QA/QC team

Manage the preparation of site specific testing planes and ensure the implementation of the same in accordance with the contract specifications.

Prepare, issue, ensure implementation and control of all QA/QC Management Systems in line with the relevant ISO standards

Maintain and update as required the relevant QA/QC documentation

Ensure that processes needed for the QA/QC Management System are established, implemented and maintained

Review QA/QC processes and procedures for compliance with standard requirements

Prepare for external audits and liaise with external auditors Conduct internal audits to control the operations of the set

systems

Manage training of personal and promote their awareness towards quality

Administer all statistics in regards to QA/QC & HSE

Corporate with the company to enable compliance with the relevant statutory provisions

Represent the company at certain events

Ability to lead a large team, stress resistant, excellent presentation & communication skills

Requirements

Requirements:

Diploma in civil engineering or equivalent

At least 15 years working experience from which at least 5 years in the UAE (preferable Abu Dhabi) and as well 5 years in a similar position.

Good knowledge in MS office

Fluent in English (speak and write), Arabic would be an advantage
