Employment: Full Time

Our client, a major global organisation, now seeks to appoint a Move Consultant to be based in their office in Dubai.

Main purpose of the job
- To accurately estimate the volume of a household goods consignment.
- To sell our household goods moving services products for exports, imports, UAE domestic, storage and business moving services.
- To sell our (marine) insurance service in line with above moving services.
- To provide our customers with reliable and useful information regarding the (international) moving process.
- To convert a minimum of 55% of all opportunities presented to you in a sale.

Principal responsibilities & activities
- To carry out pre-move surveys anywhere in the U.A.E that are booked and scheduled by our sales office.
- To estimate accurately (+/- 10% of the actual packed volume). In such cases where these parameters are not met, assume responsibility for assessing the reasons for discrepancy and the solution thereto.
- To ensure all proposals are send to the client within 48 hours of completion of survey. Should this deadline not be met, advise client of the revised time-scale.
- To ensure that telephone calls are answered promptly and that voice mail messages and e-mails are answered the same working day.
- To routinely and systematically follow-up on all surveys and convert a minimum of 55% of all completed surveys as well as total surveyed volume / revenue potential.
- To liaise with the sales manager, client services manager and operations manager to ensure that all information relating to a booked move is being noted and any special requirements taken into account.
- To ensure the maintenance of effective relationships with clients and to ensure that we deliver on promises at all times and to ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation.
- To work according to the requirements of the companys ISO quality system.
- To report real and potential problems, as well as unsatisfactory practices, to your manager for action. 10. To ensure that we provide superior customer service delivery at all times and to maintain personal presentation and customer service ethics of the highest standards.
- To ensure we receive written acceptance of quotation prior to packing taking place.
- To ensure we collect payments from customers prior to shipping of their personal effects.
- To prepare internal documentation as required ensuring that the operations department is correctly advised of packing and uplift of export consignments.
- To calculate quotations as required or directed and at all times ensure that support staff has provided accurate cost summaries before signing each quotation.
- To attend and participate in departmental meetings as required.
- To utilize the companys move management system at all times.
- To provide relief cover for other move consultants while they are on leave.
- Attend customer and business group functions as required, at all times representing the company in a professional manner.
- To recognize and act upon sales leads which relate to other Company business units, whether directly of benefit to the UAE operation or not. 20. To ensure that all business expenses are submitted to the sales manager for reimbursement.
- To call on every Dubai based converted customer once during the packing process.
- Attend sales, operational and review meetings as necessary to analyse sales and operational performances in comparison to planned objectives.
- Attend any training courses as directed or required.
- Whereas this position is Dubai based, you are required to attend appointments across the UAE.
- Carry out any other duties as may be required by your manager.

Requirements

The right candidate must have relevant previous experience within the removals / relocation industry.

A high level of dedication to the needs of your clients is essential as is a working knowledge of the UAE market.
