Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Technical Group (TG)has been established as the Engineering and Technical organisation for Borouge, which is mainly based in Ruwais. TG is the Engineering and Technical Services organisation and has business process ownership of Asset Integrity; Process Safety Management; Inspection; Project Engineering and Delivery (value up to $50 million); Technical Authority Governance and Support. Additionally TG is the custodian of the Company Technical Standards and Procedures.

Reporting to the Inspection Department Manager, you will be part of our technical Group and your responsibilities will include:

* Performing maintenance of the Installation Corrosion Monitoring and Mitigation policies.
* Ensuring that material failure investigation and root cause analysis are carried out where considered necessary and that any implication with respect to integrity is reported accordingly.
* Providing revision of all Inspection strategies with respect to corrosion related issues.
* Providing classification of corrosion loops in plant.
* Assessing RBI team with the required knowledge in assigning degradation mechanisms relevant to equipment operational environment.
* Maintaining the integrity of Hydrocarbon pressure envelope and associated structures.
* You must be familiar with risk assessment, monitoring and inspection procedures for equipment.
* You must be familiar with the Inspection and Corrosion Management business processes.

Requirements

As a successful candidate you will need to have:

* Possesses engineering bachelor's degree (12+4 years) in Mechanical, Petrochemical, Chemical or Metallurgical.

* Specialized training in inspection, corrosion prevention and cathodic protection, preferably in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
* Experience in a Corrosion/Materials environment and relevant experience within the oil and gas production industry.
* Good speaking and writing knowledge of English.
* 8 years work experience in this field.
* Report writing experience with strong attention to details.
