Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Responsible for handling and executing all cost accounting activities in coordination with relevant parties and according to relevant policies and procedures.
- Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activities including purchases and inventory.
- Ensure coordination and follow up with other departments to monitor the timely preparation of their annual costing plans.
- Prepare journal entries as necessary to assist in month-end closing, and analyze inventory evaluation and inventory roll forward.
- Assist in evaluating alternatives and raise findings to Head of Management Accounting for review.
- Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count and physical inventories if required.
- Collect data and compare actual costs to estimated cost; analyze variances if existing.
- Provide costing support to other departments as needed.
- Develop and install cost accounting systems and procedures.
- Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all activities related to cost accounting.
- Create a filing system (with all documents related to cost accounting) and ensure it is continuously updated.
- Prepare periodic reports that show the progress of the cost accounting activities.
- Review and respond to queries, and escalate to Head of Management Accounting when needed.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting/Finance.
- Accounting Certification (CPA, CFA, ACCA) is preferred.
- Five years of relevant work experience in Cost Accounting.

- Compliance with financial policies and local reporting regulations.
- Accuracy of costing reports.
- Speed and accuracy of response to queries and issues internally and externally.
- Internal customer service satisfaction.
