Employment: Full Time

Sadara Chemical Company is an exciting joint venture between Saudi Aramco, one of the leading energy suppliers to the world, and The Dow Chemical Company a leading science and Technology Company of the world. Sardara will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase establishing a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added performance products encompassing 26 manufacturing plants. The integrated complex based in Al Jubayl, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Positions available with in the Finance department; for a Cost Account and Senior Cost Accountant. You would be working under the Assistant Controller Supervision, the incumbent will be part of Controllers team in charge of Cost Accounting Activities.

The employee will be responsible to establish cost flows, cost structures, cost collection for Corporate Functions and or Manufacturing and to provide support to management to establish proper expense/cost control.
- Cost Accountant provides reporting, and analysis for Corporate and/or Manufacturing functions
- Ensure accurate recording of expenses by analyzing spending to identify trends and ensuring management understand and take proper actions to have spending under control
- Establishes cost flows, structure, collection procedures and business rules to ensure consistent accounting records.
- Review and validate inventory valuation
- Provide detailed analysis for manufacturing variances
- Proper variance analysis for expenditures
- Provides support and validation for completion of annual budget
- Provides Financial Support to analyze alternatives for contracts and provides inputs to determine best economic options
- Control and monitoring of contracts with Sponsors to ensure correct charges and recording
- Coordinate forecasting process with management and validate data provided by them
- Ensure proper recording of accruals to assure spending is current
- Ensure Internal Control for expense recording
- Provide support for capital vs. expense determination
- Educate organization to ensure cost control environment

Requirements

- Bachelor in Finance, Accounting or related academic experience
- SAP knowledge of Controlling module
- Vast experience in Cost Accounting roles
- Technical accounting knowledge and experience necessary to generally perform delegated functions and tasks and the professional knowledge to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision reviews.
- Displays initiative and leadership when working in unstructured work environments with immature work processes, handling multiple job responsibilities, setting priorities, maintaining a high level of accomplishment and implementing improvements to processes.
- Demonstrated accounting skills and familiarity with relevant SAP modules.
- Ability to perform assigned duties in accordance with cycle time commitments.
- Effective interpersonal skills to ensure engagement with Finance team members, and management being supported
- Communication skills are required to provide effective support, educate management
