Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervises, provides guidance to and coordinates effort of cost controllers assigned to program. Receives work assignments and specific instructions from the Project Manager. May act as the responsible cost/planning/control representative on Project tasks with sole accountability for the schedule and cost reporting requirements. Obtains and collects costs updates from construction management personnel and contractors. Maintains Project construction cost/ budget expenditures baselines and updates. Prepares detailed computer generated cost reports, charts and diagrams. Provides analysis and review of cost/budget expenditure and maintains cost control reports. Promptly reports anticipated cost overages or other unsatisfactory cost elements. Accumulates, evaluates and documents historical cost data for the development of future estimates. Provides data processing support for network schedule calculations, printouts, reports, and other cost related services. Obtains input from the client, Project Managers, the Design Consultant, Finance and contractors and prepares various internal and external Monthly Reports for the project. Evaluation of tender's proposals, make Tender Report to client, make cost analysis and breakdown of each activities. Estimate of change orders including breakdown (labor, equipment & material). Develops Cost control system for all projects. Participates in the continuing development and maintenance of the Project computer systems and Primavera based databases.

Requirements

Qualification:
B.S. Civil Engineer or equivalent.

Behavioural Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. High level of professionalism, initiative and creativity. Problem solving/lateral thinking skills. Excellent time management and prioritization and able to manage pressure and meet deadlines.

Experience:
10+ years experience with related experience in cost control, quantity surveying and scheduling using Primavera. Marine projects experience is a plus.
