Job description / Role
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager for the overall estimating, cost control and coordination of the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors.
Developing and maintaining estimating and cost control and reporting standards and procedures.
Preparation and maintenance of the project cost break down structure, budget and integrated cost report and cash flow.
Establishment and maintenance of a program cost benchmarking database.
Analysing and reporting on Consultants and Contractors cost reports and cash flows.
Preparation of monthly and weekly reports.
Preparing and making presentations.
Requirements
BSc in related subject or equivalent experience.
MRICS or equivalent.
10 years post graduate experience.
Sound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities.
Experience in conceptual estimating, cost planning, financial accounting, expenditure profiling, cost reporting and forecasting costs at completion.
Ability effectively monitor and analyse cost, identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
Experienced user of MS Office, advanced MS Excel user and Primavera Contracts Manager.
Excellent report writing skills.
Previous experience in the Middle East is an advantage.
