Employment: Full Time

Our client are a leading Program Management company operating across a wide range of sectors including Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Defense & Support Services and Power.

They are currently looking for a Cost Manager to be based on a prestigious highway project in Doha, Qatar.

The Cost Manager will be reporting to the Project Controls Manager for the overall estimating, cost control and coordination of the project.

The key responsibilities of the Cost Manager include:
- Leading and managing a team of Quantity Surveyors
- Developing and maintaining estimating, cost control and reporting standards and procedures
- Preparing and maintaining the project cost break down structure, budget and integrated cost report and cashflow
- Establishing and maintaining of a program cost benchmarking database
- Analysing and reporting on Consultants and Contractors cost reports and cashflows
- Preparing monthly and weekly reports
- Preparing and making presentations

Requirements

The Cost Manager will have sound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities.

- A minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience
- A Bachelor's degree in related subject
- MRICS or equivalent
- Experience in conceptual estimating, cost planning, financial accounting, expenditure profiling, cost reporting and forecasting costs at completion
- Ability to effectively monitor and analyse cost, identify trends and recommend corrective actions
- Experience using MS Office, advanced MS Excel user and Primavera Contracts Manager
- Excellent report writing skills
- Previous experience in the Middle East is an advantage
- Fluent English both written and spoken
