Cost Planner - Jeddah - Single Status - Western Educated

The TSA Group has been instructed to search, select and secure the services of a strong GCC based Western Educated candidate for this very lucrative role. Our client is a World-wide Professional Building & Construction Consultancy, now with opportunities in the Middle East. They are strategically placed throughout the Middle East and represents itself as one of the best BS consultancies in the region.

Responsibilities:
- Leading the compilation of comprehensive and detailed benchmark, cost model, feasibility and cost plan reports to ensure the project is being designed to set cost parameters and the subsequent written and verbal presentation of such documentation to the Client;
- The Formulation and eventual reporting to the Project Team and Client, a series of initiatives designed to enhance value for money and reduce risk (value engineering);
- Leading the formulation of project specific risk registers designed to allow the contribution of the entire project team and Client. Effective communication of the outcomes of such risk registers to key design team members and the Client will subsequently be a responsibility of the Cost Planner;
- Collaborating and forming effective relationships with key stakeholders from regional supply chains in order to effectively source up-to-date and accurate cost information that can be used in the production of cost estimates and cost plans;
- Support the Middle East business with the effective communication to the business managers of anticipated deliverables, outcomes, and required resources in order to efficiently, and cost effectively, deliver the firms Cost Management / Quantity Surveying service product throughout the region

Requirements

- 5+ years experience ideally working with a large Consultancy (building & construction), with a proven focus on pre-contract cost management service delivery;
- Proven ability to create, develop and maintain sound business relationships with Clients and other influential industry stakeholders;
- Proficiency in cost estimate and cost plan compilation using excel and CATO (or related) estimation software;
- Proven communication skills and evidence of previous engagement with representatives of both upstream and downstream supply chains in the construction industry;
- Individuals possessing proven previous experience and expertise in the leadership and formulation of cost plans / estimates for large mixed-use, commercial, sports / leisure and infrastructure projects in the Middle East will be given preference (GCC experience of 2+ years preferable);
- A proven ability to work effectively under pressure and consistently meet Client deadlines.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent may be considered depending on experience
- Excellent English (both verbal & written)
