Employment: Full Time

Country Finance Manager - USD 90,000 - USD 100,000 per annum plus benefits

Our client, a leading international firm, is currently seeking a Country Finance Manager (CFM) for their operation in Afghanistan.

As a Country Finance Manager, you will be responsible for accounting and financial management in-country and ensures that national legislation is adhered to, and that the country specific standards are applied in ensuring efficient use of the resources.

Key accountabilities include but not limited to the following:
1. Accounting and Financial Management Accountancy
2. Treasury
3. Commitment of expenditure
4. Budget management
5. Develop project budgets
6. Team leadership

Requirements

1. Masters degree minimum in Finance or related area
2. At least 3 years in Finance Management experience in a similar role; commercial security or oil and gas sector highly desired
3. Excellent communication and drafting skills for effective reporting on programme financial performance;
4. Ability to manage a financial/monitoring team and demonstrate leadership;
5. Ability to monitor and evaluate financial and monitoring skills of communities through capacity-building efforts;
6. Ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility;
7. Familiarity with the aid system, and understanding of donor and governmental requirements;
8. Prior knowledge of the region an asset;
9. The rotation is nine weeks in country and three weeks out;
10. A person that has been working in austere locations/camp life would be highly preferable and with understanding of local tax and completing business in these locations.
