Country Manager - Automotive - Afghanistan

A large diversified group of companies with operations in UAE, East Africa and Afghanistan is looking to recruit a Country Manager for their Vehicle Sales, Leasing, and Servicing department to be based in Afghanistan. Doing market research and analysis for the existing and potential clients for selling vehicles & parts and leasing in Afghanistan

Job Requirement:

Identifying potential clients for selling vehicles & parts and leasing in Afghanistan
Arrange for demonstrations, technical seminars to potential customers
Ensure Market Intelligence is observed at all times to become competitive.
Ensure that the customer are fully updated with product knowledge regarding existing and new spare parts, vehicles and heavy equipment
Present comparative studies of own product vs. competitor product in terms of price, features, benefits, efficient after sales support etc.
Collect information regarding competitor product features, prices, specifications, sales and warranty terms and conditions
Negotiate effectively to maintain profit levels as well as sales volume to achieve overall company objectives of receivables
Giving recommendations for pricing to higher management
Preparation of contracts for sales/ RFQ’s, bidding documents, proposals.
Ensuring timely collection of receivables.
Maintenance and up keep of the workshop equipment to maximize utilization and minimize downtime. Initiate procurement of additional equipment in line with business growth
Create & follow-up of Service Planning Schedules on behalf of the customer using the latest relevant systems.
Planning of service work to achieve maximum utilization of Technicians, Workdays & Equipment.
Developing the team to a level of proficiency to enable them to deliver outstanding quality of service
Exercising proper administrative control to ensure smooth office operation and following company policies

Qualifications & Skills required:

B.E Mechanical or equivalent with a degree in business administration
15 years experience in the automotive industry including 5 in a managerial position
Experience in Ford/Navistar and / or Hyundai business is preferable.
Strong analytical & administrative competence is critical for this job.
Willingness to travel all over Afghanistan
Technically competent to understand the Product and customer needs and requirements in mechanical and Body & Paint Service
Proficient in MS Office
