Country Manager – Security

An opportunity for an experienced and committed Country Security Manager has arisen within our company. The Country Security Manager will be an active member of strategic business development. He/She will provide strategic leadership to the Security Operations and will scout for profitable new ventures in Afghanistan.

The position will be based in Kabul, however, since the company operates in a number of areas throughout Afghanistan, the candidate must be prepared to travel as required.

KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

•Responsible for identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes, practices, and policies throughout the organization
•Coordinates with Senior Management in implementing operational strategies that will ensure protection for Personnel and Customer
•You will be expected to be both Customer and Company focused with a proactive approach as well as being able to handle and implement new ideas
•Responsible for reviewing contract terms and conditions ensuring compliance
•Responsible for executing Customer contractual obligations in order to carry out the daily operations while remaining within budget
•To ensure that the process of recruitment, induction and training of all staff is effective and compliant with our legal obligations to the Customer
•Must deliver continuous improvements in key KPI performances

Requirements

The successful candidate will contribute ideas and operational expertise to the smooth operations of the client and will be responsible for introducing the following innovative solutions:

•Establishing optimum procedures
•Setting into place implementable systems & processes
•Prepares financial and/or operational analyses and reports
•Audits current procedures to monitor and improve efficiency of operations

The Country Manager will be the “go to” person for all the operations, systems and management decisions related to Security within Afghanistan.
Project Management experience is essential. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced person who is able to operate autonomously in a remote and austere environment.

Requirements:

•Expat
•Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related concentration
•Minimum 2 years Afghanistan experience in a similar role
•Minimum 10 years experience in a similar role
•Previous experience in USG projects in Afghanistan preferred
•Due to the location of this position, applicants must be physically fit

Please note the following:

•Candidates who are immediately available will be given preference
•This position is site based and on a rotation of 90 days on, 21 days off
•Travel, accommodations, food and security provided by the employer
•2 paid trips to Country of residence will be provided annually
