Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Country Manager will be responsible for Distribution of Samsung products through efficient and effective management of the sales team, marketing, information flow and services to regional branches and distribution channels.

The main mission is to optimize/maximize distribution penetration for product lines in all sales channels, build-up in-store visibility for products which is at least competitive or preferably superior to directly competing products

Position Responsibilities:

Ensuring customer satisfaction and the achievement of business objectives are met in line with Samsung’s strategy

Providing strategic inputs for the distribution of Samsung products through the overseas regional branches and local distribution channels

Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values

Developing the operational plan for purchase of Samsung products from SGE and distributing the product through the local Branches/channels

Identify local opportunities and recommendations based on analysis of market data and field research.

Maximizing Sales and Enhancing Brand Equity.

Responsible for STP (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning)

Provide a foundation for uplifting brand equity and accomplish profitable growth through improving price position and solidifying production line-up:

Which cover the total process innovation from marketing, product development, purchasing, sales, logistics, SVC and financial management.

Which provide value added product and service to the customers with competitive price in a timely manner and increasing market share

Proposing the annual sales plan for Distribution of Samsung products in Yemen.

Executing the product allocation across channels

Ensuring the effective management of all branches and channels of distribution for executing the operational plan and achieving business objectives

Pursuing prudent credit management practices for mitigating the risk of doing business across distribution channels

Initiate & develop annual marketing plan/s as per the strategy & guidelines set and agreed with your direct management and regional marketing team; follow-up on implementation; and report back progress & any recommendations to change or amend.

Planning & executing marketing activities such as demand creation, tactical trade promotions, bundling and packaging of services

Establish and communicate necessary KPIs (key performance indicators) for all Market segments, Trade & Consumer related projects and activities; and report back on Achievements vs. Objectives set.

Ensuring and establishing that services such as pre and post-sales support, warranties and logistics services are provided to the channels to ensure end-to-end value-added package to customers.

Preparing demand forecasts based on feedback from channels to aid the purchase of products from SGE

Establish assortment and product price positioning in-line with the company’s marketing policy and according to the local market expectations based on distribution market and head-on competitor pricing to aid product planning

Training & developing internal sales team and the channel partners on new technologies, sales methodology and tactical marketing promotions

Implementing demand generation activities targeted at end user, conducting channel meets and training program on products.

Develop a specific clear target for each department.

Providing Management with timely and relevant reports are prepared that provide an overview and facilitate decision making

Following and executing HQ direction for global marketing and sales programs

Maintaining effective contact with the Product management team, Finance Controller and Industry peer group for obtain market intelligence that facilitates business decisions

Responsible for managing all operations within a country. This involves taking responsibility for profit, revenue, cash and quality targets.

Agreeing on annual budgets and producing a detailed annual business operating plan as well as monthly, quarterly or annual targets for revenue & profits.

Producing business performance reports, this could be on a monthly or quarterly basis.

Able to recruit and manage staff, including performance monitoring, and possibly mentoring and training.

Requirements

Qualifications Experience, Education and Qualification:

* Must have a Bachelor’s degree

* A post-graduate in marketing or international business would be an advantage

* Must have at least 10-15 years in GCC in Sales & Marketing management & new business development of Consumer Electronics / FMCG / IT industry with reputed companies and brands.

* Must have experience in Dealer & Retail Sales

* Strong communication and presentation skills.

* Good skills in Microsoft Office, mainly Excel, Word, Power Point, and Microsoft Outlook. Prior experience in SAP is a plus.

* Analysis, Proposal and Persuasion skills.

* Excellent quantitative aptitude, commercial acumen.

* Ability to perform and work under different conditions and a team player.

* A demonstrable sales focus; proven sales track record.

* Strong interpersonal skills, customer focus and strong ability to engage and communicate.

* Strong drive for results, combined with a creative approach to problem solving, product and marketing management.

* Extensive sales thinking and pro-active / consultative sales approach.

* Self-starter being able to work under minimum supervision.

* Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

* Persuasive and professional presenting products / technologies and concepts to customers
