Country Manager - BD / Oman O&G - Wireline

Our Client are a leading Multi-National Oil and Gas company who offers game-changing measurements and modelling solutions to the Oil and Gas Industry for the last 15 years.
Due to their global expansion they are currently recruiting for an exciting and challenging position based in Oman for a Country Manager, with the control and focus on the Business Development aspect of the role and are looking to reward the right candidate handsomely!

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to step up in their career from a pure sales role (with wireline experience) to a full management position where you will drive performance through a team of 15 people whom you will be directly responsible for.
Equally you may already be in a management role and are looking for a bigger challenge within a supportive and stable working environment where you will still have autonomy, creating and developing the environment being responsible for delivery of results.
This includes developing the strategy for growth and sales positioning, forming strong personal relationships with client’s partners and other divisions of the companies oilfield services at all levels both internally and to external clients. You will be reporting directly to the COO

Specific targets revolve around General management, Business growth, Marketing & Sales in geographic area, Contract negotiations, JV with other suppliers, New market entrance, recruiting and staff development

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer and stakeholder relationships at the highest levels in client organizations
• Develop full understanding of customer and market needs/opportunities/competition
• Identify, develop and deliver profitable growth opportunities
• Ensure compliance with the Group principles, HSE and ethics at all times
• Assist with maintaining sales forecast database and marketing intelligence for the assigned geographic region and coordinating as required with other divisions.
• Liaise with BD Director for publicity processes including press releases, articles for the company conferences, exhibitions etc.
• Regular visits to potential clients and countries.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Wireline.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized institute or university, preferably in Math, Physics, Geology, Geophysics, or Engineering.
• Excellent communication, coordination and organizational skills.
• Ability to take the initiative and work unsupervised.
• Good interpersonal skills and presence.
• Language skills and advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Good negotiation skills.
