Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Credit Analyst is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. The Credit Analyst must comply with established policies and procedures.

- Proactively communicating with the customer to resolve payment discrepancies
- Proactively communicate with the customer, if there is a risk of overdue/customer block and develop measures to mitigate credit risk
- Follow-up with customers to ensure that overdue are promptly paid
- Document signatures and processing in SAP, for all A/R related documents
- Processing Credit and Debit Note in SAP once the document is approved
- Stamping and obtaining Credit Manager approval on the physical Credit Note/Debit Note and dispatching the document to the customer by courier
- Monitor customers and manually release orders as per standard guidelines
- Process Credit Extensions and Exceptional order release, once the document is approved
- Daily clearing payments in partners accounts, to ensure no unapplied payments at month-end
- Communication and Follow-up with the customer mater data team in South Africa for all matters related to customer master data
- Review documents based on credit terms and execute according to the agreements in place with partners (Submit to bank or courier them to partners)
- Keep close eye on Financial coverage and guarantees expiry dates
- Maintain and keep files ready as per Audit requirements (Be Audit ready always)

Requirements

- Graduation is a must
- Accounts Receivable experience is strongly preferred
- Working in an export/Import environment is added advantage
- Proficient analytical skills, including trend analysis and root cause identification
- Proven ability to innovate and to streamline processes and to successfully make recommendations to influence commercial decisions
- High degree of professionalism, personal responsibility, including being proactive, self-initiating and goal oriented
- Constant team player attitude and ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of SAP a plus
- Understands Decision Authority and processes
- FMCG/Consumer Goods/F&B/Retail industry is added advantage
