Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Ensure compliance and follow all Company H&S standards and procedures
- Ensure compliance with the Company Internal Control Policies and Procedures as well as follow Group Code of Business Conduct
- Ensure compliance with company Credit Management Policy
- Proactively manage debt collection on assigned portfolio of accounts
- Ensure that debts are collected as per Company given targets
- Follow-up on overdue invoices within given timeframe
- Issue statements to clients using established guidelines, deadlines, procedures and process driven methodology
- Agree payment plans with customers and ensure that they are adhered to
- Resolve queries to facilitate payments from customers
- Handle disputed bills and negotiate to bring payment within agreed terms
- Prioritize and manage a challenging workload whilst maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction
- Obtain sufficient information to assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers
- Maintain accurate and up to date customer details and account records
- Ensure that all prepared communications are accurately recorded/documented in a timely manner
- Undertake account reconciliations and compiles documentation for legal action
- Attend court cases when required
- Respond promptly and completely to both client and internal inquiries
- Assist in ad-hoc duties as required
- Provide ad-hoc reporting as and when requested
- Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required
- Send out monthly client statements/letters

Requirements

- Educational Qualification: Degree in Finances / Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of English language
- Knowledge of Arabic and/or Hindi is an advantage
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems especially MS Excel
- Knowledge of construction industry / ready mix business would be a plus

- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Ability to successfully lead a team
- Works with a minimum supervision
- Familiar with accounts procedures, client ledgers, disbursements and office accounts
- Ability to explain financial matters firmly and clearly
- Possesses high standard of numeric accuracy with attention to detail
- Strong organisational & time management skills
- Ability to manage & prioritize an extensive caseload
- Sense of urgency and ability to work in fast paced environment
- Deadline focused with ability to prioritize tasks
- Flexible and multi-tasking ability to produce results
- Has good negotiation skills
