Credit Officer

Job description / Role

Our client is one of the largest commercial bank and has moved from a public sector organization into a modern commercial bank. They have diversified their business portfolio and are today a major lead player in the debt equity market, corporate investment banking, retail and consumer banking, agricultural financing, treasury services. They are currently looking for a Credit Officer

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Approve loans within specified limits, and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval
- Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans
- Review and update credit and loan files
- Review credit agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy.
- Submit applications to credit analysts for verification and recommendation
- Set credit policies, credit lines, procedures and standards in conjunction with senior managers.

Requirements

- Relevant degree and certifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Fluent in Arabic and English
- Familiar with MS office environment
- Ability to demonstrate sufficient tact, self control persuasiveness to deal with involved discussions
- Ability to communicate within & outside the bank frequently with staff/clients
