Job description / Role
- Appraisal of Retail / Commercial credit proposals prior to submitting these to the approving authority. Highlight deviations and make recommendations
- Recommend amendments to existing Credit Policy & Procedures, commensurate with market best practices
- Conduct quarterly portfolio analysis by reviewing business sourced during the quarter, highlight risk areas and make risk mitigation recommendations
- Monitor credit exposures across different risk categories: single obligor, sector, collateral type, nationality etc
- Maintain / exceed turnaround time (TAT) standards agreed with the internal departments
- Recommend and implement minimum 2 initiatives within the calendar year aimed at achieving error free credit appraisal, enhanced operational efficiency, risk mitigation etc
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Commerce / Finance
- Minimum 5 years experience in Credit Risk function in a Bank /Finance company
- Financial analysis of customer financials using spreadsheets.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Anticipating, Creating and Managing Change
- Holistic /Big Picture thinking (includes forward thinking)
