Job description / Role
The key function of this role is the Credit Risk Assessment of Corporate Accounts as well as of the Corporate Portfolio. This position is responsible for analyzing and completing a full-risk assessment of all areas within corporate financing and making recommendations, reviewing credit applications. The Analyst must be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of corporate banking products, possessing strong credit abilities and shall be well versed with entire credit approval process.
To analyze the Corporate credit applications by reviewing financial capacity, business profile, industry position, repayment capability, collateral adequacy, Account conduct etc
To ensure credit facilities have been properly structured, pricing and collateral is adequate and that there isn't any violation of internal or external regulations / policies
Constant review and ensuring that credit applications are in-line with compliance credit policy, regulatory requirements, procedures of the bank and highlight exceptions if any
Prepare Credit Risk Appraisal Summary / detailed notes with appropriate recommendations for approval, rejection or amendments based on credit analysis
Credit monitoring and Follow-up of Regular / Irregular accounts
Monitoring, Updating and Checking of various portfolio and regulatory reports
To act as back-up for all areas under Credit Risk Department and provide support to other areas (i.e. Credit Monitoring and Administration, BASEL II assignment, Credit Development etc)
Requirements
Candidate must essentially have a Bachelor Degree with Commerce / Finance / Accounting back ground
It would be advantageous for candidates to have an MBA / Professional Accountant CA / CFA
1-2 years of banking experience in credit analysis of corporate accounts
Strong analytical skills
Good PC skills (esp. MS Word & EXCEL)
Communications (written and oral) and presentations
It is essential to work in a team and demonstrate initiative
Ability to effectively communicate in English. Arabic would be advantageous.
