The RoleThe Role1. Underwrite applicant's credit worthiness, following SHL established credit policy, criteria and procedures. 2. Validate all file application documentation, review property evaluations, title deeds and verify loan origination system data integrity. 3. Work closely with operations and sales staff to provide complete applications for submission to SHL's Credit Department. 4. Make credit recommendations and ensure program eligibility and compliance with SHL credit guidelines. 5. Conduct initial review of all loan applications submitted by business channels and submit recommendations to the appropriate credit authority in a concise and timely manner to achieve the twin goals of business growth and high quality of assets. 6. Review, on a continuing basis, the credit analysis function and loan origination software and submit recommendations for credit process improvement in quality. 7. Monitor and ensure the compliance of submitted credit conditions by applicants and business channels as per the procedures and requirements specified by SHL. 8. Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of reports (e.g. pipeline updates, credit commitment expiry reports, exceptions, etc.) as required from SHL. 9. Report to management, through the appropriate channels, any/all exceptions/non-compliance and events that could impact on the quality of SHL's portfolio and/or profit or loss results. 10. When required, assist or handle the responsibilities of other functionaries in matters relevant to credit risk function. |
RequirementsRequirements1. Thorough understanding of consumer credit lending and KSA banking principles including SIMAH reporting. 2. Saudi National preferred. Expatriates will be considered. 3. Minimum 3 years of local banking experience with at least 12 months in Credit. Previous KSA real estate financing is preferred. 4. University graduate in business management required, preferably with added technical or banking background. |
