Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

1. Develop, review and amend corporate crisis management and emergency response philosophy and supporting procedures/plans applicable to all Qatargas activities, for approval by senior Management.
2. Develop and present Crisis Management training to Qatargas CEO and COOs.
3. Supports the assets in the development of their Emergency Response Plans.
4. Ensure alignment of emergency response philosophies and procedures between the QG operating assets and any Projects.
5. Serves as a Contract Accountable Manager for the consultant services in crisis management and as a single point of contact for the consultant representatives. He manages and evaluates their performance.
6. Work with the Environmental Division on Oil Spill Response related issues.
7. Participates in accident and incident investigations as required using industry standards methods and tools such as TAPROOT
8. Develops and delivers emergency response and crisis management training packages to ensure the level of readiness of response is adequate. Liaise with On-Scene Commanders, Incident Commanders, Crisis Management Team members and other emergency response personnel to ensure their readiness.
9. Maintains the Automatic Emergency Notification and Callout System and advises Telecoms on changes in the response personnel including their updated contact numbers in coordination with departmental managers.
10. Provide inputs to Business Continuity Plans and business vulnerability workshops.
11. Responsible for designing, directing and maintaining emergency response facilities such as ECC’s (Emergency Command Centers) and CMC’s (Crisis Management Centres) at QG locations – Ras Laffan HQ, Doha etc. Performs regular audits of such facilities to ensure a state of readiness
12. Coordinates with Loss Prevention engineering in major incidents or disasters scenario development through dispersion and risk modelling software packages and ensures that adequate mitigation plans are in place to handle such scenarios.

Requirements

University level degree or professional qualifications.

Knowledge and/or Experience

8 years’ experience in crisis management or emergency response in the oil and gas industry including onshore and offshore operations.

• Special emphasis is placed on ability to lead scenario identification sessions.
• Decisive with strong management skills, self-motivated and the ability to provide added value within a team.
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English with ability to produce procedures and technical reports.
• Very good knowledge of Word, Excel , and Visio software
• Very good communication and training skills. Ability to listen, persuade and influence at all levels.
