The Role


The Role

The incumbent would be responsible for working with team on multi-terrabyte multi-server systems to resolve a variety of issues that include basic OS, networking, MS SQL, and .NET code. Installs necessary triggers, stored procedures and business logic. Performs database backup and recovery, application performance tuning. Develops, tests and executes diagnostics and disaster recovery plans in order to safeguard the integrity of the database. Macro Level description is: Monitoring of Database Performance Monitoring Backup & Recovery Database Creation, Database Security, User Management, Export/Import, Patch management and Data Migration Optimizing and tuning of the shell scripts

Qualification : BE/MCA in Computers

Experience : 3-5 Years

Other Details : Deep knowledge SQL Server 2005 a must, including SSIS, T-SQL and Replication. OLAP / Analysis Services a strong plus.” Prior Strong experience with OLAP / Data Analysis Services Prior experience with Star schemas / data cubes Prior experience in developing SSIS/DTS packages Prior experience with advanced monitoring tools (SNMP, Nagios, etc.) Strong experience with operating systems / SA duties
