The RoleThe RoleBorouge is on the way to increase our capacity even further with a multi - billion dollar mega- project called Borouge 3. By the end of 2013 we will have added a 3rd Ethane cracker to create the largest Ethane cracker complex in the world. This new cracker will serve two polyethylene and two polypropylene plants as well as a low density polyethylene plant. All these plants will boast the enhanced Borstar process technology and in total will drive the annual production capacity of our Ruwais operations to 4.5 million tonnes per year. A US $ 1 billion contract was awarded in early 2010 to build the next ethane cracker. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be part of the Material Handling team and will be responsible for either in the control room: * Continuously monitor condition / operating parameter from the DCS panel / console within MH area. * Coordinate with PO operation and MH supervisor for silos management. * Prepare and monitor silos washing, then normalise. * Execute and monitor silos blending. * WinCC operation for packing execution / completion. * Update bagging machine downtime records. * Prepare non bagging machines related equipment for PM such as, compressors, blowers, rotary feeders, etc. In the control room he operates control panels (DCS) comprising highly sophisticated and computerised equipment on shift in the assigned operating area. It includes the operations and control of instrumentation on the control panels governing process qualities and quantities. Constantly visualises, diagnosis and manipulates micro processing electronic controlling facilities to ensure safe and proper function and that products meet the required stipulated specifications and quantities. He provides functional direction to the field operators to adjust plant operations. * Substitutes the shift supervisor when required. * Attending the departmental safety, health and good housekeeping meetings, participates in plant inspection tours and takes active participation in implementing Company policies on safety, health, loss prevention and quality management. * Observing all safety, fire and security rules and regulations, including the use of protective clothing and equipment and ensures that all personnel working in his area comply with safety procedures. Ensures the maintenance of assigned area in clean and tidy conditions. |
RequirementsRequirementsAs a successful candidate you will have: * Secondary Education (12 years) or higher. * Minimum 5 years relevant experience silos and bagging activities, DCS operation. * Ability to speak, write and communicate effectively in English. * Very good initiative and team player. * Proficient in the use of computer, i.e. MS Office, CMMS, etc. * Knowledge of DCS. |
