Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE) is the real estate development and operations arm of Al-Futtaim group which is headquartered in Dubai. AFGRE is responsible for the origination, conception, development, procurement and construction of mega projects and the leasing, sales and operation of these projects after completion.

In addition, AFGRE develops and operates an extensive multi-million dollar portfolio of individual corporate real estate and investment assets across the MENA region.
The two current flagship mixed use urban communities under the Festival City brand are the award winning, Dubai Festival City (5.2 million square metres) and Cairo Festival City (3 million square metres).

About Dubai Festival City
Dubai Festival City is an Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate development project which covers 5.2 million sq m and stretches 3 kilometres along the historic Dubai Creek that optimises the thriving and visionary spirit of Dubai.

Dubai Festival City is an established creek side, mixed use destination and premier waterfront community interconnecting finest residential, shopping, dining, leisure & entertainment, international hotels, schools, golf course, automotive park and offices. It is formed into three distinct districts and connected by a 30 kilometers internal road network and creek side promenade. This existing community offers freehold villas and apartments for sale and lease which combine traditional and contemporary architecture. Upon completion, the community will be home to 50,000 residents living in 20,000 villas and apartments, and ideal place to work for 50,000 office staff.

JOB PURPOSE:
To develop and implement the Doha Marketing Strategy through the construction, pre-opening and post opening phases of the mall development. These strategies to incorporate all stakeholders and cover advertising, PR, Event Management & Customer Service at the appropriate phase of the Mall development cycle to ensure effective reach to the target audience and maximization of the Mall brand positioning.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Marketing strategy planning and budgets / Media & Advertising plans - sets yearly strategies and plans for each stage of the mall development.
* Develop a marketing plan for the mall opening, covering resources, procurement, stakeholder management, footfall sales objectives and opening event plan. Proactive consultant and contractor management to deliver the outcomes.
* Communication - communicates with key stakeholders including owners, retailers, shoppers and the industry during the Mall development.
* Market Research & Intelligence - ensures that competitor research on like properties in UAE and GCC is accounted for, together with general real estate news that could impact on brand (leasing / retail / development / RERA / government regulations updates etc). Market research to determine requirements for new business.
* Website / Online Digital Activation - Ensures at all times that the DFC website is up to date, takes into account new technologies & trends and builds the strategy.
* Public Relations - working together with the PR Manager to promote and create newsworthy items to increase the AVE and awareness of DFC within the media.
* Measurement - ensure all marketing activities are measured against pre-set objectives.

Requirements

JOB CONTEXT:

This position is critical in that DFC needs a dedicated development marketing manager to drive the Marketing Strategy through the business to business and the business to consumer phases of the development to drive market awareness to the brand and maximise. Footfall and sales performance post opening.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

* Bachelor degree in marketing / business or related field or equivalent professional qualification.

* Digital and online activation awareness.

Minimum Experience:

* Minimum of 5-10 years in a marketing or business related discipline in real estate / retail marketing.
* Minimum 2 years in GCC region.
* Experience in working with external agencies, events, PR and advertising.

Job-Specific Skills:

* Arabic Speaker is preferable.
