Dairy Process Technologist – Middle East

Job description / Role

Our client is a major player in the Saudi Arabia dairy industry, supplying over one third of the country’s total drinking milk. In the recent past they have diversified their product portfolio to include butter, cheese, powdered milk and breakfast cream, alongside non-dairy products manufactured at their sister site. Their company mission is to produce a range of nutritious foods for all age ranges and to be the brand of choice in the region.

As a Dairy Process Technologist you will support the factory’s implementation of new products into full-scale production. You will look to optimize all aspects of the manufacturing process; design new processes based on the latest and expected future technologies and actively participate in new product development (NPD).

Other responsibilities will include:

Optimizing recipes to reduce costs while maintaining quality and complicity with local laws
Liaising with the co-packer to ensure final products meet the company specifications
Advising the QA Manager on necessary procedural updates

Requirements

It is expected that you will hold a Food Technology or related degree and have the appropriate communication and project management skills to work in a challenging multicultural environment. Previous experience within the dairy sector working with products such as milk, cheese or yogurt is a must.
