Data Analyst (X2) - GMASCo. - Al Futtaim Group - UAE

Job Purpose:
- Maintain a client service orientation by managing day-to-day Data Processing Operations and ensure integrity of all raw and processed data for GMR to support client service / sales activities through the following
- Manage all day to day data extraction, tabulation, statistical analysis and reporting of assigned research projects
- Program error free complex (floating and multiple logical skips) research questionnaires as electronic scripts, for interviewing via web, phone or face to face like CAWI, CATI or CAPI
- Extract raw data from the above platforms to check for quality, consistency and logic checks
- Assimilation, coding and grouping of open ended verbatim responses in the questionnaires to provide accurate and logical answers
- Process raw data, perform statistical analysis to create tables, databases and excel reports
- Prepare basic tables and charts to be used in the reports / presentations
- Automation of excel tables to dashboards, excel / PPT charts and reports

* Client Servicing
- Serve as primary contact to research team on day to day / regular and ad-hoc across all data related requirements
- Understand and respond to research team on content, basic data issues/questions, report generation, etc.
- Deliver on timelines without fail every time
- Ability to understand the research team requirements and transform data into dashboards
- Be directly responsible and accountable for work conducted for their nominated clients in terms of analyses, tabulation, charting, and reporting
- Ensure client service deliverables are aligned with the GMR service standards

* Functional and Technical
- Good understanding of applied statistics
- Advanced knowledge of quantitative research questionnaires including scales, usage / application of techniques and their implication on data analyses
- Provide value-added analyses and respond to special requests
- Integrate multiple data sources to answer business issues
- Manage assigned project independently
- Perform quality checks on all reports for alignment to request, accuracy and correctness
- Ensure GMR standard operating procedures within area of responsibility are observed. Recommend improvements in work processes within area of responsibility.

Job Context:
With the constantly changing environment/consumer trends in GCC, its increasing impact on the marketing, branding and marketing communication strategies GMR provides the group companies on their request, information and insights related to various strategic and tactical marketing / business issues. GMR performs a critical service oriented role in assisting the group companies to develop appropriate marketing / business action plans. The data executive is a key link in this process through ensuring the basic hygiene of the data collected through various methodologies.

Additionally the factors that have critical impact on the Job are appropriate training and development, provision of appropriate tools/software.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Graduate
- High proficiency on IT specially on programming, DBMS, automation, statistical packages
- Sound knowledge of statistics / maths on data analysis
- Entry level knowledge of research techniques and methodologies

Minimum Experience:
- 4 to 8 years experience in market research / IT / BPO with minimum 3 years experience with an international research agency

Job-Specific Skills:
- Working proficiency knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications specially Excel, Access and PPT
- Programming/scripting skills, such as VB/VBA/JAVA/C++ or similar
- Expertize on independently handling DBMS, automation, statistical packages and similar applications
- Project management experience, Strong analytical mind and Good organizational skills
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills ( English / Arabic)
- Continuous learning and keeping up with new market trends and sharing of knowledge with the team.

- Interpersonal skills, confident, fast learner, continuous self-improvement.
