Job description / Role
You will be involved in nearly every aspect of the technical and strategic operation of the data center in UAE. You will take part in the setup of the data center, working closely with the vendors in order to comply with the technical and security requirements of our customers. You will put in place and implement the operations plan including its capacity, reporting, monitoring, and SLA management dimensions. You will take part in the design of scalable and robust configuration. You will liaise with the data center provider for all facility matters
Requirements
• Experience in the operation of 24X7 mission critical facilities, preferably in telecom and banking space.
• Customer focused with relative experience in customer facing roles
• Critical thinking and challenging the status quo to creative, nonstandard and innovative solutions to the table.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations, and proficient in the use of common business software programs
• Dependable and flexible, able to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Strong leadership and decision making skills
• Exhibits a positive attitude with internal customers and external parties.
• Bachelor degree in a technology related field. At the manager's discretion, experience may substitute for education. Relevant certification in Data Center and operations Management.
• 5 + years of experience working in or with Data Centers.
• Good understanding of IT systems including Window/Unix operating systems, server hardware platforms and networking technologies.
• Good understanding of the underlying facilities and security layers and requirements
• Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory or management level experience.
• Experience in leading and organizing teams
