The Role


The Role

Required experience
1. Manage SQL Server, Oracle or other database management systems, including performing and supervising backups, patch management, performance monitoring, security management and other as needed functions.
2. Contribute to the architecture and development of new database related applications by using data modeling techniques; documenting ERDs, developing stored procedures or CLR based code in C#.
3. Architect a data environment for high availability and disaster recovery.
4. Become involved in all applications development projects to assure data integrity.
5. Report to the Director of IT on critical issues pertaining to the database.
6. Mentor other IT staff in database design, development, and administration
7. Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.
8. Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products.
9. Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
10. Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
11. Perform application tuning and performance monitoring.
12. Perform and oversees activities related to day-to-day database maintenance and support including creating and monitoring backups, refreshing development/QA database as needed, editing indexes and performing installations and upgrades.
13. Establish and enforce optimized methods of transferring data between various database management systems.
14. Perform database planning, creating standard operating procedures and policies including but not limited to established change control and migration.
15. Develop database sizing and participates in vendor selection.

Requirements


Requirements

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

Skills
1. At least 10 years experience in similar position.
2. Database Oracle Certified Professional.
3. Good English command.
4. Team work spirit
5. Computer literate.
