Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a leading exhibition company who are looking to hire a Database Administrator to join them on a permanent basis.
Your primary responsibility will be to successfully provide database technical installation and administration as well as maintenance and support with a key focus on high level technical tasks. You will provide assistance and guidance on all database enquiries along with the ability to install, configure and manage ERP packages (preferably Oracle eBusiness Suite). In addition you will be required to support IT operations staff, developers and other systems analysts in developing efficient database designs as well as provide the necessary support.
Requirements
The successful candidate should hold a bachelors Degree in computer science or information systems. You should have a minimum of 5 years experience in database administration on Microsoft SQL and Oracle coupled with a proven track record in SQL Databases. It is essential you have strong experience in MS SQL and Oracle DBA whilst any experience in Redhat would be advantageous. You should also have an excellent understanding of utilising data modelling tools and creating logical and physical data models.
