Employment: Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this position will be responsible for performing advanced statistical analysis, training and providing support to the Office of the CEO on data collection methods and tools. Provide to managers recommendations for areas of improvement. This position would also be responsible for assisting the Chief Executive Officer / Senior Executive Team with the planning and development, interpretation and implementation of financial models to assist with the development of new, and / or improvement of current projects for American Hospital, Dubai. Suggest areas where scheduling and co-ordination of patient encounters can be improved. Carryout real time studies examining utilization of existing capacity and recommend immediate solutions to optimize utilization of existing facilities and resources.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership / Organizational Skills
Under the supervision of the CEO, develops, undertakes and maintains statistical analysis for ongoing and new projects at AHD
Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks ensuring effective use of available time and resources
Participates in staff meetings and hospital projects
Performs additional duties as specified by the Chief Executive Officer
Technical Staff Functions
Analyze and report on financial information to produce forecasts of AHD and competitor facilities and prevailing economic conditions for use in making strategic planning decisions
Develop, produce and maintain effective spreadsheets, draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical and operational reports to assist with the development of comprehensive strategic and operational decisions

Develop, produce and maintain effective statistical and other methodologies to accurately analyze and produce reports on current and projected physician productivity within defined protocols
Develop, produce and maintain effective statistical and other methodologies to accurately analyze and produce reports on current and projected outpatient clinics utilization within defined protocols
Develop, produce and maintain effective statistical and other methodologies to accurately analyze and produce reports on current and projected staff and capacity utilization within defined protocols
Develop, produce and maintain effective statistical and other methodologies to accurately analyze and produce reports on department and call centre appointment and scheduling systems within defined protocols
Make recommendations to the CEO on modifications to and development of, current/new practices to improve system efficiencies and productivity within AHD in line with JCIA, prevailing governmental regulations and international best practices
Develop, produce and analyze financial models to assist with the development, evaluation and implementation of new projects as required by the CEO
Analysis of financial, utilization and productivity reports obtained from AHD departments
Developing new and effective techniques for financial planning to provide quality data to the CEO
Keeping up to date with the latest trends and techniques in the field of financial analysis.

Requirements

POSITION QUALIFICATION:
Master in Health / Hospital Studies or similar qualification including a period of practical
Assignments as part of the studies from a recognised educational institution required.

Professional Experience:
Minimum 1 year post Masters experience in Healthcare provision and analysis at a tertiary care medical facility of 200 beds or higher required
Minimum 1 year post Masters experience in hospital clinical, staff and capacity utilization analysis at a tertiary care medical facility of 200 beds or higher
Previous Middle Eastern experience an advantage
Extensive computer software knowledge with applications such as C++, Excel, SQL, Access required
Fluency in the English language both written and oral required. Knowledge of written and oral Arabic an advantage
