Delivery Manager

Job description / Role

Triage is looking for a Delivery Manager for one of our client based in Dubai, who will oversee and manage all aspects of delivery service from food preparation to delivery to customers in order to maintain an effective and profitable delivery service.

Relationships:
- Reports directly to the Operations Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Being able to run a delivery team of operator, dispatch and delivery boys.
- Ensures guest menu distribution and sales strategy to maximize revenues
- Make sure deliveries are made on time by setting ticket time procedures
- Use knowledge of the local area to ensure the quickest and safest delivery route for the driver.
- Sets efficient Dispatching procedures
- Follow up and verify that delivered items meets the company specifications and customer satisfaction
- Proactively seeking opportunities to improve customers satisfaction
- Planning and monitoring budgets and expenditures
- Coordinate with different areas including operators, drivers in order monitor performance, give feedback and/or take corrective action if needed.
- Assist in training team members in all delivery related areas (drivers, operators, Dispatchers)
- In coordination with the Branch Managers, Ensure that team members maintain a sharp appearance (shaving, uniform, cleanness, etc.) in order to comply with the hygiene standards
- Constantly strives to further develop the team members through constant monitoring and feedback
- Ensure that all policies and standards related to the department are being implemented and followed by all members of the team
- Check and monitor duty rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times and ensure and proper rotation in delivery orders
- Take all necessary preventive actions in order to avoid any customer complaints
- Analyze daily delivery operations reports and act accordingly in order to ensure updates
- Plan and re-prioritize around any emergencies or external factors affecting or delaying the delivery process in order to ensure efficient delivery
- Staff supervision, development and evaluation
