Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:

The main purpose of the role is to generate one agreed, time-phased forecast by product in volume based on sales history, trends and launch/ activity calendar for the assigned brand groups. Furthermore, to implement and maintain FIRST focusing on in market sales (IMS) forecasting by performing monthly S&OP for assigned brand groups.

Accountabilities:

Forecast Management:
•Create and update in SAP a 20 months rolling forecast and demand plan on a monthly basis in line with the business forecast/ plan.
•Manage for the assigned brand groups the information flow from sales, marketing and S&CM via regular triangle meetings to identify the underlying sales trends per product and incorporate the effects of promotional activity and advertising activity on sales volume.
•Ensure that NARTS in SAP APO-DP are always up-to-date in terms of Master Data Maintenance – Life Cycle Management – Forecast Profile.
•Challenge new launch volume plug in to achieve reasonable 1st month pipeline fill vs expected monthly consumption and activation plans.
•Update FIRST regarding latest IMS/ NS info and CAC planning for assigned partners to sustain and improve current hit rate.
•Liaise with S&CM to obtain latest CAC information and follows up on VAS info updates.
•Update and review the provided forecast with Supply Planning in line with supplier/factory capabilities to identify capacity constraints and suggest an action plan to overcome potential issues ensuring maximization of customer services at least costs.
•Provide key measurements, e.g. weighted NS FCA and first hit rate accuracy.

Demand Management:
•Ensure in liaison with Customer service customer demands are in line with forecasted expectations to manage supply and minimize service issues.

Supply Chain improvements:
•Identify and carry out improvements in current business processes, systems and procedures (internally and with partners) to increase efficiency and utilization of current resources.
•Take the lead in existing Supply Chain projects (e.g. weekly replenishment project in terms of system automation follow-up, data accuracy, order generation and CS follow up)
•Implement and update FIRST and hold a monthly S&OP meeting
•Develop current forecasting procedures and optimize inventory covers to minimize out of stock and excess inventory.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor from an accredited university with a focus on Commerce, Logistics or Supply Chain

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years experience in a logistics or associated area, ideally with a customer focused or service organization having acquired in-depth understanding of Supply Chain processes.

Language:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are mandatory.

Arabic or French is an advantage.

PC/IT:

High proficiency in MS Office applications with emphasis on advanced Excel.

Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.

Abilities:

Attention to detail and rigorous accuracy

Team worker and able to work autonomously

Excellent communication and negotiation skills
