The Role


A comprehensive network of showrooms and service centres covers the UAE and Gulf region providing customers with convenience, choice and the highest standards of after sales service. Al Futtaim represents some of the world's most popular and desirable automotive brands including; Toyota, Lexus, Hino, Honda, Volvo, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge.

We are seeking experienced Denters/Body Technicians to join Al Futtaim Motors.
The main responsibilities of the role will include (but not be limited to):

• Determining parts required for servicing and repair
• Ensuring correct parts are ordered
• Repairing and servicing vehicles in accordance with dealer/distributor standards, within flat rate time
• Ensuring that the assigned body repair jobs are executed in line with standard operational procedures and specifications of TMC & Distributor, timing and housekeeping standards so that overall objectives in terms of productivity and quality are being met or exceeded
• Advising management prior to fitting any major body parts outside the norm for routine servicing/repair
• Obtaining technical information from the Body Shop Foreman on problem jobs
• Adhering strictly to technical specifications as laid down by manufacturer, or as instructed by management
• Noting the description of all work performed on the back of repair order if required • Tagging all warranty replaced body parts according to laid down rules and handing to Warranty or Parts Dept
• Ensuring time started and completed are entered on Repair Order
• Possessing a complete set of tools, as per distributor requirements, and maintaining in good working order
• Accepting responsibility for supporting apprentices/helpers via training/explanation/ practice, the necessary skills required to perform the job correctly, thereafter to inspect/monitor the work and rectify any problems
• Placing all replaced body parts in proper location and disposing all waste materials appropriately.

You will have the following skills and experience:

• Previous/current denting/body repair experience within a reputable dealership/workshop
• Ability to assist Foreman / Service Advisor on proper repair order write-up
• Ability to perform accurate diagnosis and repair procedures
• Ability to write repair estimate report
• Capability to follow the system of quality control inspection in order to prevent or correct faulty workmanship which falls below standard
• You will be a strong team player, with the ability to produce excellent standards of work on a consistent basis
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to understand English as the medium of communication.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a major automotive manufacturer or dealership/distributorship as a denter
• Minimum Qualification - S.S.C./Trade Certificate/Vocational Training.
