Department Manager (Arabic Speaker) - ACE - Dubai - DFC

ACE is one of the biggest hardware and lifestyle retail franchises in UAE, that Al-Futtaim company holds. For nearly eight decades, ACE has been a part of the American landscape and today has over 5,000 stores in the USA and hundreds worldwide.

The product range comprises DIY, hardware, electrical, home and garden, furniture, camping and barbecue, pet and decorating products, with the emphasis on lifestyle.We are seeking to hire a Department Manager for our ACE store in Dubai Festival City.

You will be reporting to the Store Manager and responsible for:

* Driving sales to achieve department and store budgets
* Dealing with customer enquiries/ problems
* Managing a team of Sales Associates
* Participating in the sales floor replenishment
* Planning of daily staff activities
* Delegating staff duties on daily basis and ensuring rotation among duties and tasks
* Assisting with staff training
* Monitoring staff performance and attendance
* Assisting in opening or closing the store
* Assisting with the cash count and action close of day on system
* Providing excellent customer service
* Advising customers
* Taking pride in your store and maintaining it to a high standard
* Following operating procedures
* Providing customers with an enjoyable shopping experience

Requirements

To be successful in winning this role, you must have the following skills and experience:

* Previously managed a team of 10 or more
* Customer service skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Good knowledge of MS Office applications
* Good presentation and excellent personal organisation
* A passion for the retail industry
* Comfort with shifts
* Comfort with physical work
* Leadership ability
* Flexibility and punctuality
