Employment: Full Time

Our Client - The Research Council (TRC) aims at creating an innovation ecology in the Sultanate of Oman, that is responsive to local needs and international trends, fosters social harmony, and leads to creativity and excellence.

TRC is looking to recruit a senior communication and branding professional for the this position.

Role and Responsibilities:

To direct the overall advocacy, communications, learning, brand identity and marketing functions in the Office of Communication and Branding (OCP) at The Research Council (TRC)

Assist Assistant Secretary General (ASG) in developing strategic goals and objectives for OCP and oversee implementation of these goals and objectives.

Develop communication strategies for delivery of TRC brand, culture, goals and objectives.

Assist the executive management to effectively fulfil its governance function and the International Advisory Board to undertake its core advisory activities.

Guide the team in developing standards, policies and procedures in the areas of branding, marketing and communications and ensure implementation of the same.

Network internally with other TRC Offices and with core decision makers externally on behalf of TRC and promote researchers and innovators in Oman to address challenges based on public-private partnership.

Requirements

Undergraduate degree with relevant professional qualification or Post graduate/ graduate degree in communications, journalism, marketing, branding, public relations, international relations or a related field is required.

Minimum 10 years of total experience including 5 years of relevant experience in an executive management position is required.

Excellent strategic thinking and strong leadership skills and ability to build a young dynamic team is required.

Excellent networking, public relations, negotiating, interpersonal and influencing skills are required.

Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills are required.

Language fluency (written and spoken) in both Arabic and English languages is required.

Should be willing to travel extensively.
