The Role


A Public Shareholding Insurance Company incorporated in Abu Dhabi is looking to hire a deputy Branch Manager. This position is based in Dubai and requires working with all the departments of the Branch in order to deliver prescribed results as Deputy Branch Manager / Business Development. All activities, plans and tasks must be carried out in consideration of overall business, not as stand alone unit. The role will report to the Executive Manager.

Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the planning, implementation, execution of marketing & business development strategy for insurance products and services in coordination with Dubai Executive Manager.
• Strategic planning and implementing of the business plan
• Work closely with different departments of the Branch in coordination with the head office in the development and execution of appropriate marketing tactics and plans to achieve the marketing / sales objectives.
• Protecting and expanding the current client base.
• Setting up sales targets for the Branch and each individual associate (sales agent) and working towards meeting the target.
• Liaison with the different government departments for business opportunities in this important sector.
• Follow-up with new and upcoming projects with different segments of the market through different media sources including I.T. facilities.
• Develop good working relationship with brokers (Local & International) to service them and to generate business from them.
• Pro-actively provide market feedback on changing requirements of clients and brokers with regards to products, price and positioning.
• Joint sales calls with business associates to further strengthen relationship with client & brokers. Further delegate different tasks to the team.
• Design and implement a broker management strategy across the Branch.
• Design and execution of commercial lines and person lines marketing campaign.
• Strategic planning and implementing of the business plan
• Managing the branch employees and their performance as per the Executive Manager directions
• Any other tasks and projects assigned by the management or from the Executive Manager
• Responsible for the planning, implementation, execution of Bancassurance business development strategy for insurance products & services.
• Develop good working relationships with Banks (local & international) to service them and to generate business through them and from them.
• Design & Implement a direct channel development strategy in the Branch in coordination with the Head Office

Educational Qualifications required:
• Bachelor Degree In human resources or equivalent diploma
• Postgraduate qualification/ additional courses in Management will be an advantage.

Technical Qualifications required:
• 5 - 10 years experience in the same field

Skills required:
• Should process excellent communications skills written and oral
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
