Deputy Contract Manager – Saudi Arabia

The Client:

Our client is a world leading European contracting company. They are in need of a Deputy Contract Manager for their recently awarded developments in Saudi Arabia.

The Role:

You will assist the Contract Manager with administering a large, moderately complex contract and provide support to the management with the required information relating to any financial, legal or technical difficulties. You will also be involved in contract negotiations.

To be considered you need to be able to prepare change orders and amendments, negotiate effectively with contractors and customers to obtain settlement and maintain internal contracts with project management. You will also need to provide operation supervision to junior Contract Specialists.

The person:

BSc in Civil Engineering and preferably CIOB or RICS qualified
Strong background working as a Deputy Contract Manager on large scale build projects with main contractors
Construction project contract engineering and quantity surveying experience under FIDIC or similar contract models
Ability to deal with all the contractual matters, the preparation of claims and submissions, invoicing, arbitration and the preparation of sub contracts
Familiarity with governmental contracts in the Middle East
Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential
