Job description / Role
Our client is one of the largest stockists of metal pipes, flanges, valves and fittings in the Gulf region. They supply to petrochemical infrastructure and industrial projects through Saudi Arabia. They are part of a large 100% Saudi owned group of companies that have been operating for over 40 years.
An opportunity has arisen for a Deputy General Manager to be based in Dammam, who will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for further developing the business in their key markets throughout the gulf region.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Meeting sales targets
- Assisting the General Manager by performing related duties.
- Establishing administrative procedures at branch locations and assist in their implementation and supervision.
- Establishing satellite offices across regions.
- Acquiring agencies for approved manufacturers.
- Introducing new product portfolios to project owners & contractors.
- Assisting management to develop sales tool kit.
- Increasing export market segment to 30%
Requirements
In order to succeed in this position you will ideally hold a degree in mechanical engineering and experience in the oil & gas and/or construction materials sectors. It is also desirable that you have demonstrated experience developing and implementing a marketing strategy for the Asia or MENA regions. The ability to manage and motivate a large sales team is also essential.
