Job description / Role
PURPOSE:
To assist the Project Manager in delivering the project to the Client team in an appropriate manner satisfying quality standards and time constraints.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Assist with managing all aspects of the delivery of the Project to the Client.
Attend progress meetings with the Client and ensure actions are taken appropriately, along with other more ad hoc meetings.
Ensure correspondence from the Client is answered in a timely and appropriate manner (letters or emails).
Instigate aspects of the design in the office.
Review reports and drawings produced prior to issuing the Client.
Undertake tasks assigned by Project Manager.
Assist in the recruitment of new additional resources to manage workload and improve efficiencies, and for necessary positions in the organization structure.
Prepare briefs for teams and sub-consultants.
Responsible for project costs and financial accountability.
Completion of minutes of progress meetings.
Oversee / co-ordinate production of design and drawings with Design Centre.
Assist with Training and coaching of team members.
Assist in the preparation of Technical / Financial Proposals as part of the bidding process.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Civil Engineering.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
No less than 10 years experience in the flood/storm water drainage designs (mainly hydraulics).
Must have good experience in commercial/contractual aspects (will take the lead on reviewing contracts T&Cs, penalties, delivery base line schedules and etc).
Should have good experience in the construction field.
Should have good communication skills and shall be able to coordinate with different and several consultants and contractors.
Arabic speaker (mother tong) with good English skills (speaking and writing).
