Job description / Role
- Creates advanced 2D and/or 3D CAD drawings per supervisor direction and departmental standards and best practices
- Coordinates project-specific tasks to lower level draftsman under the direction of the assigned supervisor
- Assists in the development, implementation, and regulation of formal procedures, policies, and standards that satisfy regulatory requirements and follow industry suggested best practices
- Assists in the mentoring, training, and developing lower level draftsman
- Provide and update project reports, schedules, budgets and execution plans
- Follows Company policies and procedures
- Manages time effectively
- Follows Companies Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines
- Additional duties as assigned by IT
Requirements
- Advanced understanding of industry best practices and standards as related to CAD drafting
- Advanced understanding of basic and specialized drafting software
- Advanced understanding of Engineering, Electrical, and Operations pertaining to the industry
- Action oriented, including enthusiasm for challenges and opportunities
- Ability to mentor lower level draftsmen in industry best practices and standards
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers
- Demonstration of proficient computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office, Visio and
- necessary engineering applications
- Ability to learn company specific applications and standards
- Ability to follow direction
- Wisdom, experience, and judgement to make good decisions and advise others
- Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and priority-setting skills

Education & Work Experience
- Marine, oil and gas industry experience
- Minimum 3 years AutoCAD experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Training in computer programs such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Preferred
- Technical degree with emphasis on Engineering or drafting
- Advanced training in software's such as Autodesk 2D, 3D, Autodesk Electrical, Autodesk Inventor, Visio and/or equivalent
