Design Engineer (Loss Prevention)

Job description / Role

The jobholder will apply design knowledge to design projects for the development of conceptual designs and produce detailed designs for a particular project segment under supervision, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Successful candidate receive specific discipline schematics at the production information stage, develop working drawings and write technical documents, taking cognizance of products available within the local market. He/she will have to develop own knowledge in the technology and with interfaces with other engineering disciplines. Understand and include design requirements for health, safety, quality and constructability into design deliverables.

Requirements

- BSc. or equivalent in Safety/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years diversified experience in the EPC engineering field.
- Experience should include participation in the engineering of safety design or equipment items of firefighting under supervision of a senior engineer.
- Knowledge of safety review tools (HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, SIL etc.) and an understanding of Cause & Effect.
- Knowledge of various international standards like API, NFPA, OSHA, PMS etc.
- Strong proven communication, negotiations, influencing and presentation skills.
