Employment: Full Time

Design Engineer - Power Generation - Johannesburg

Our client is an international Power Generation Business with operations throughout the globe. Thanks to their continuing expansions they are recruiting for a Design Manager to be based out of their offices in Johannesburg.

Reporting to the CEO you will be responsible for supporting the technical and sales team with design support.

You must be a qualified engineer preferably with an electrical qualification and have a good understanding of Diesel or Gas reciprocating engines.

The responsibilities of the Design Engineer will include:
Working with technical sales team to support their sales into Africa
Producing detailed single line diagrams of Reciprocating Engine sites
Working with the technical and sales team to ensure that bids are deliverable

Requirements

The background of the Design Engineer will include:
Electrical qualifications
At least 5 years experience of Gas or Diesel Generators of over 1 MW
4-5 years of design experience within the Gas or Diesel Generator industry
South African National looking to work from Johannesburg
