The RoleThe RoleOur client is a turnkey provider of BMUs throughout the Middle East, providing complete design, manufacture and installation services, backed by comprehensive maintenance and client support services. Across the region, the company employs around 100 multinational staff, most of who work in Design, Engineering and Production. With purpose-built manufacturing facilities in Dubai, the company has a network of regional offices and agents throughout the Middle East. Responsibilities Work as a team with other Design engineers Report to Senior Design Engineer/ Design Manager Understand the project requirements & specifications Interact with Senior Engineer in completing the design tasks in time and to the intended design requirements Handle 1 or 2 projects from concept to manufacturing drawings Prepare Technical Submittals and coordinate for approvals Detail design of all elements of the workable subassemblies and assemblies supported by relevant calculations. Prepare manufacturing drawings and coordinate with manufacturing team till assembly, testing & commissioning Visit installations for design validation Take guidance from senior designers and produce quality design in stipulated time Generate innovative solutions, test & implement |
RequirementsRequirements Master Degree or Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an internationally recognized institute Interested in Research & Development activity cycles in Mechanical Engineering field and related subjects Related industry know-how and experience in Building Maintenance Units (BMUs), design, quality and performance will be an added advantage Minimum 3 to 4 years of Design experience Shall know quality concepts related to design & manufacturing You must have experience in; Mechanics Drives & Controls Machine Elements Auto CAD (Must) Solid Works or Auto Desk Inventor (3D) Staad Pro knowledge is an added advantage Usage of MS excel calculators Essential Skills Excellent inter-personal and communication skills U.A.E. driving license (added advantage) Excellent managerial skills Organized Problem-solving attitude; solution oriented Excellent Design Concepts presentation capability Team player Day one & Self starter Ability to make accurate decisions through analysis and common sense Quality conscious Attention to detail Result, customer and quality oriented Fluent in English Ability to work under pressure Comfortable to work in a target driven environment Being able to produce quality design outputs Stress resistant Fostering Teamwork Good time management Work on project calendars timelines Able to multitask Interactive with other functions Look for quick & innovative solutions Responsive to the communication related to project progress |
