Job description / Role
- Provide assistance in Mechanical Value Engineering
- Prepare listing of engineering deliverable documents and estimation of manpower/man-hour to be executed
- Prepare time schedule for engineering activities
- Prepare document-related designs related to Specification, Data Sheets, Requisition, TBE, TBE meeting notes
- Conduct vendor kick-off meeting, prepares agenda & meeting notes correspondence with Vendor
- Review of vendor prints
- Review of inspection & test plan
- Provide correct design information to the appropriate Design Team/s
- Coordinate with vendors
- Coordinate with client / licenser and other disciplines for engineering activities
- Prepare QA/QC plan and QC check list for internal audit as part of the Company implementation of quality system
- Assist in the inspection department during Factory Acceptance Test
- Conduct field engineering activities
- Review of Information & Correspondence provided by Client / PMC / Licensor
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years extensive experience in a related industry (ideally in Oil & Gas, LNG, Refining, Petrochemicals) as Principal Engineer, Lead Engineer, or Head of Department.
- Experience in overseeing design works performed by EPC Contractors
- Proven ability to effectively handle resolution of technical and contractual issues and policing/checking of designs to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Experience in a related or similar role within the contractor environment
- Experience in leading teams with proven strong leadership skills
- Astute and conversant with the latest advances in technology
- Knowledge of international codes and specs
- With impeccable character and self-motivated
- Proven ability to effectively deal or interface with both client /owner and detail design contractors
- Good level of spoken and written English
