Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with an architectural design, engineering and interiors consultancy that has an impressive portfolio and background of designing and delivering mixed-use developments in the region. Due to expansion, our client is looking to hire a Design Manager / Coordinator to lead a team of Architects and Draftsman in a newly created position.
This role will be part of the management team working closely with the General Manager and key stakeholders of the business. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the design team and coordinate between Engineers ensuring the client brief and concept is not compromised by the structural, MEP and civil design. You will work closely with all engineering disciplines and manage architectural design from concept through to construction documentation, engineering design and the client. You will be responsible for local authority submittals, meeting with internal and external parties as well as meeting and presenting to clients, ensuring a smooth operation.
Requirements
The successful candidate should be a qualified Architect and hold a B Arch, M Arch or BSc Arch coupled with a minimum of 10 years experience in all stages of the design process. You should have experience in mixed use developments, residential and commercial sectors and strong technical construction design knowledge. It is essential you possess exceptional communication skills.
