The RoleThe Role• Responsible to propose and implement technical solutions that maximize project profitability and improve product performances. • In charge of resources utilization within the defined design team. • Ensure the growth of a motivated and skilled team of designers, collaborating with the Technical Manager, and Engineering department. • Discuss and review the tendering budget with the Sales & Tendering team and the Project Manager during kick-off meeting to define a common Kick Off budget and is consequently fully responsible to achieve goals defined in this phase. • Define and manage the project from a technical point of view. • Define a feasibility study and develop curtain wall systems to be used for the project with competence in procurement, logistics, production and on site activities. • Organize and manage his group of Designers. • Analyse the technical specifications and the job’s scope of work. • Assure the preparation of the Project Quality Plan. • Support the Project Manager in managing the relations with clients, architects and the main contractor from the technical and economical point of view (budget preparation). • Is responsible for the resources assigned to his department, ensuring the correct application of tools and policies on training, career path and evaluations and inputs to compensation systems. |
RequirementsRequirements• To design steel structures and architectural exposed structural steel. • To carry out Material Take-Off (steel structures and accessories ). • To execute & follow up the work programme and setting up the priorities, resources and time. • To maintain a relationship with the architects / Clients / Construction Sites. • To maintain a relationship with colleagues from other internal departments and/or site offices. • Knowledge of structural behaviors and modular fabrication. • Capable on deciding / choosing appropriate structural typology. • Capable on providing specific problem-solving on issues relating to structural welding. • Knowledge of Italian/European Standards relating to steel structures. • Knowledge of American Standards relating to steel structures. • Knowledge of the production activities and fabrication processes undertaken at the factory. • Fluency on both written and spoken English or at least at intermediate level. • Ability to operate Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel ). • Ability to operate AutoCAD. • Knowledgeable on materials / finishes (technical specification related to steel structures). |
