Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a leading international contractor with an excellent reputation and a well establish and thriving office in Cairo.

They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Design Manager/Technical manager from a contractor background to be based from their Cairo office but with regular travel to projects around the region.

The role will be varied but will include:
- Review client briefs, assess design information and offer advise where needed.
- Establish scope of design services including detailed deliverables lists.
- Select consultants, obtain fee proposals.
- Prepare a complete list of design packages as agreed with the client.
- Initiate design process.
- design reviews.
- Monitor design, value engineering to ensure elements of work are within the original cost plan allowance.

Requirements

Candidates must have a degree in architecture or equivalent qualification in engineering and should have at least 15 years experience in design consultants and design management roles.

Candidates should be able to manage multi disciplinary teams and should have experience of working along side other design disciplines and construction management teams.

Candidates should have Middle East experience and must have worked as a design manager/technical manager on large construction projects including high rise building, luxury hotels and mixed use developments, residential, commercial and industrial projects.
