Job description / Role
- Leads and engineers the design of field infrastructure to support Intelligent Transportation Systems.
- Reviews and oversees the development of plans for traffic management system projects according to established engineering standards and state or federal construction policy.
- Prepares plans, estimates, and specifications to design traffic management projects.
- May delegate assignments to Traffic Engineers, Electrical Engineers or Engineering Technicians related to design and analysis.
- Determines and improves upon field work collection methods, traffic modelling, and design guidelines to be employed.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of related experience.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
