The RoleThe RoleOur Client is an independent project managers and consultants employing over 100 people in the UK and Middle East, providing project direction and management, plus a range of consultancy services for high-profile business, property and construction clients. Their diversity in both sector coverage and staff experience is key to their distinct personality. We are currently looking to recruit an Associate level Design Manager for a large masterplan in Turkey. The role will be based in Istanbul and will work out of the Architect’s office. The successful applicant will liaise with the London based design management team in order to provide the following service in relation to the masterplan: prepare design programmes, monitor and report progress of design activities, advise on design skills / resources required / requirements for approvals / design quality, compile scopes of services for designers, define what design deliverables are to be produced, advise on interaction required between designers including information flow / meetings / workshops. |
RequirementsRequirementsThe ideal candidate should possess the following experience and qualities: Experience of large scale and technically complex projects from inception to completion Experience of working on large international masterplan projects Design team consultant background (ideally Architecture or Engineering) is essential with substantial post qualification experience in a design and project management environment and an ability to advise and direct the design process Self-motivated, confident and supportive management style and able to provide a consistent and high quality service to our architectural clients Ability to represent Client’s interests and interact at senior level A sound knowledge of fee negotiation, cash-flows and invoicing Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and Power Project software (or MS Project) Degree and professional qualifications sought, preferably within a relevant design discipline (ideally Architecture or Engineering) Turkish speaking with fluent spoken and written technical English Able to start in March 2012 for a contract period of at least one year |
